A poem for 2025

In the quiet hush of twilight’s glow, We bid farewell to twenty-twenty-four, oh. A year of trials, joys, and tears, Of hopes and fears, of dreams and cheers.

We’ve laughed and cried, we’ve danced and sighed, Through every moment, side by side. The memories we’ve made, both sweet and sore, Will echo in our hearts forevermore.

Goodbye, dear year, with all your might, You’ve taught us strength in darkest night. You’ve shown us love in softest light, And guided us through day and night.

As the clock strikes twelve, we turn the page, To welcome in a brand new stage. Twenty-twenty-five, with hopes so bright, We step into your dawning light.

With open hearts and spirits free, We embrace the year that’s yet to be. May it bring us peace, may it bring us joy, May it fill our lives with love’s employ.

So here’s to the past, and here’s to the new, To the dreams we’ll chase, the paths we’ll pursue. With gratitude for what’s been, and hope for what’s to come, We say farewell to twenty-twenty-four, and welcome twenty-twenty-five’s hum
